How can a Toro Shelter fabric structure be customised to meet my specific needs? What if I have a unique application?

All Toro Shelters are designed, fabricated and installed to meet your unique operational and environmental requirements. Toro recently designed, fabricated, freighted and installed a vehicle maintenance workshop and offices into the Sahara Desert. The structure was designed to sustain 220 kph winds. What are Tensioned Fabric Structures?

Do Toro Shelters require planning permission?

Yes and no, ultimately it depends on some factors such as size, usage, location and how long you need it for. This is covered in more detail in two articles written by team members at Toro: Planning Permission for Temporary Buildings and Further Planning Advice.

Are Toro Shelters Portable?

Toro can design and supply mobile and crane lift-able structures; the product link is here: Mobile Fabric Shelters. However, all Toro Shelters are by their design, relocatable.

How are Toro Shelters anchored down?

Toro Shelters are easily anchored-down. The mechanism will depend on the size of the building and the ground or foundation condition. What Wind Loads can Toro Shelters sustain?

Toro has built a large structure in the Sahara Desert designed to sustain winds up to 220km/h; there are also numerous other Toro Shelters spread across the Highlands of Scotland and Australia, design to sustain equally high wind and snow loads. Toro’s buildings are designed to endure their local climatic conditions, and have proven themselves through the test of time.

What Snow Loads can Toro Shelters carry?

Toro Shelters are engineered to comply with Eurocode standards and will support the snow loads experienced in the region they have been designed for. Additionally, the slippery nature of the fabric covering also prevents a significant buildup of snow in most cases.

Why choose a Toro Shelter building instead of a traditional wood or metal building?

How long will delivery and installation take?

As most of the ‘building work’ is completed off-site, a Toro Shelter is incredibly fast to erect, a building that would normally take months is up in a couple of weeks. To design, fabricate and freight the buildings to a site will take several weeks and normally allows just enough time to complete any civils work that may need doing.

What does that cost?
